This is the instinct that prompted designer Killian Rieder to create Chamilia jewellery - now stocked in all its alluring lustre at Ernest Jones.

Ernest JonesRieder wanted to conjure a brand of contemporary jewellery that allowed women to customise it to fit the moment. Thus ChamiliaTM launched with a line of handcrafted beads of Italian Murano glass, coloured stones, 14karat gold and sterling silver that pair with beautifully designed companion bracelets, bangles and necklaces. The result is a fresh, contemporary twist on the traditional bracelet.

Here's how you create a gorgeous piece to express your core style or to show a loved one how much you care. Follow these three steps and you will be on your way to creating your own special piece.

Step 1: Select a bracelet or necklace style. All come in various sizes.

Step 2: Select your beads. Design your bracelet or necklace by style, theme, colour or idiosyncratic combination for a strong visual appeal.

Step 3: Assemble your jewellery. Thread beads on to your bracelet by twisting each one on to the chain and finishing with a lock.

The fun thing is that there are many ways to create different looks. You can opt for a Repeat Pattern with a series of 3 or 4 beads. You can select one bead to act as a central Focal Point. You can be Random and place beads in any order for a whimsical touch. Spacers are an inexpensive way to bring interest into your pattern.
