Dune's men's range for AW09 covers two main schools of dressing, catering brilliantly for the slick and smart metropolitan man about town as well as for the cool media guy or outdoors-lover.

It does the former by addressing classic styles with contemporary details and shapes in its Double Agent range and sorts out the latter in its Deer Hunter collection with a relaxed art-school professor feel.

Double Agent takes men's shoes to a new level of sophistication this season. Long toe lace-ups and slip-on loafers have an air of panache about them, and come in a slick colour palette of high-shine black and chocolate brown. Broguing, punching and stitching details on almond toes render the look contemporary.

Two-tone and three-tone lace-ups on sharp points are refreshed with highlights of taupe and grey, and black patent flashes. Laptop bags and leather gloves in classic black sit perfectly with simple yet stylish loafers, while soft square toes in washed leather are a new addition to the range.

Deer Hunter illustrates the importance of the men's boot for the season. Sheepskin trimmed pull on boots with fur linings are relaxed, while biker-style boots with metal buckles and zips look fierce. Heavy rounded toes on waxy leather lace-ups and reinforced toe-springs on burnished leather and suede loafers give this trend a raw and distressed edge. Chunky lace-up boots and battered leather satchel bags in shades of dusty black and earthy brown finish this casual story.
