In designer-speak, Zara Kids collection is about the influence of ancient civilizations and folklore merging with the thrill of venturing into unexplored terrains. In reality - ie looking through the divine stock of clothes and accessories on rack and shelf - the Autumn Winter offering is a glorious range of cute girly regalia and cool boys' stuff.
As well as the hippy vibe, there is a futuristic feel in the form of technical fabrics, pixels, vectorial prints and 3D graphics that leap off the screen straight onto T-shirts, polo shirts and sweatshirts. Green and electric blue sharpen the ice, grey and beige tones. Black is this season's new colour for tiny tots, creating a contrast with red and pink.
